Squarespace sells out

First, of course Squarespace would. Prepare for stagnation, additional price increases, and for them to spin off the Google Domains acquisition. They've already spun off Tock (which was always a weird product for them to have); no idea why Amex is interested in it.
Second, it's rather providential that I just moved my website away from Squarespace. I need to continue working on moving old blog posts and cancel the auto-renewal.
