Terrible Email Marketing by Onpoint Site Media

Today I received a lovely marketing email from Onpoint Site Media. In part, it had the following criticism of my site: it’s inside-the-box, outdated, unengaging, as boring as an encyclopedia (but on the upside, it doesn’t sound like a marketer wrote it), and looks like I put no time and effort into it.

A website today is capable of being much more than an online brochure.

Your website design is outdated. Today’s websites are capable of so much more than what your current site offers. A new design would re-engage the current visitors to your site while attracting new site visitors.

Your current website reads more like an encyclopedia rather than a marketing platform. Again you need a “Call to Action” to make people WANT to call or contact you.

With the advent of new web technologies, designing a more modern website is simple to plan and easy to execute. Doing so would require very little time and effort on your behalf.

Ms. Megan Johnson: I am not interested in the services of your company. Their website portfolio is unimpressive and your email was condescending. I take pride in my website and I’ve unsubscribed from your mailing list, which I never subscribed to in the first place.
