I recently had the opportunity to see Blue Man Group at the Plaza Theater in El Paso. It was a fantastic show, truly one-of-a-kind, full of comedy and PVC music. The light show was neat, especially the balls tossed into the audience with lights that matched the music, as well as the instances where the audience was fully illuminated in bright white light. I slightly regret not getting a “Shake That Thang” t-shirt from the merchandise stand.

The Plaza Theater is very nice; the recent renovation was very tastefully done and the seats were very comfortable.

Best musical performance I’ve ever attended. The band was engaging, the crowd stayed engaged, the light show was great, and the sound, oh the sound—unlike most concerts, 1) the instruments didn’t drown out the vocals, and 2) the volume wasn’t ridiculously high.

And man, their cover of the Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams is fantastic.
